- Open Autocad (i prefer autocad 2008)
- Change work space view as per your need
Go to Tools menu and click workspaces then select autocad classic as present work space.
- Set Your drawing units
by enter a command UNITS in command prompt area.
- Set limits as per your drawing size
Type a command LIMITS in command prompt area then choose your unit system by typing Capital letter shown in the options getting in command area.
- Check co-ordinate system present if you want to change then do.
Check co-ordinate system by typing DS in command prompt area and select your co-ordinate system.
- After finishing all this just type zoom/all

The following lists commonly used commands that are helpful in creating an AutoCAD drawing:
- Cancel - cancels a command. ‘ESC’
- Undo - undoes your last command. ‘CTRL’ + ‘Z’
- Erase - erases an object, line, or other item. E’ + ‘ENTER’ key
- Circle - creates a circle with a specific radius. ‘C’ + ‘ENTER’ key --> input radius length + ‘ENTER’ key
- Line - creates a line of a certain length. ‘L’ + ‘ENTER’ key --> input length of line + ‘ENTER’ key
