Firstly we need to create a ladder using solidworks features. (here is the procedure to make ladder model using solidworks software).

1. Create below shown sketch using line tool on right side plane, then dimension the shape using smart dimension tool. Now exit from the sketch and extrude it.

2. Now select front plane as reference then draw the shown sketch using offset tool.

3. Now remove material using extrude cut tool.

4. Now create fillets at the corner edges.

5. Then the final ladder shape shown as below image.

6. Now click on simulation tab. Then add material to the ladder and make fixed loads at bottom faces. Now add force on the top step. Then run the simulation.

7. Now right click on vonMises stress, then select show option.

8. The maximum vonMises stress is = 25.595 MPa.
